An AI-native studio of one

Calm software,
thoughtfully made.

I build consumer apps that respect your time and attention, starting with the way you get your news.

01 · Why

My mornings belonged to the feed.

I'd wake up, reach for my phone, and hand the first hour of my day to an algorithm that profits from my anxiety. Twenty tabs, three hot takes, zero understanding. And somehow still late for work.

Being informed shouldn't feel like a panic attack.

The news itself wasn't the problem. The format was: engineered outrage, infinite scroll, headlines shouting in all caps. I didn't want less news. I wanted it calmer.

02 · What

So I built the newspaper I wished existed. One that talks.

theBrief Daily turns the day's headlines into a personal audio briefing: the stories that matter to you, written in a measured newsroom voice, read aloud while you make coffee or drive to work. Ten minutes. Fully briefed. Back to your life.

No infinite feed. No autoplay video. No "BREAKING" in caps lock. A hard editorial rule against sensationalism is built into the writing itself.

03 · How

Produced end-to-end by an AI newsroom.

I'm one person. The reason theBrief can publish a fresh, produced audio show twice a day is that I designed an AI pipeline to do the morning shift, and I hold it to standards most newsrooms would recognize.

📰

It reads

Thousands of headlines from licensed feeds and wires, twice a day, deduplicated and ranked across many topics.

✍️

It writes

Every story is rewritten under strict calm-tone rules: factual, measured, allergic to hype. Sensational drafts get rejected and rewritten.

🎙

It speaks

Studio-quality voices narrate your brief. Every story links back to its original source, so you can always go deeper.

theBrief Daily

Your daily news, in audio. Personalized across 13 topics, with CarPlay, Trending, and Live Pulse.
